Where are Window Weather Guards manufactured?

They were invented, designed, and manufactured in Australia.

What material is used to manufacture Window Weather Guards?

We source a special industrial strength ultra-clear acrylic plastic that makes them almost invisible.

What sizes are available?

Currently there are five sizes to suit the most popular sized Australian windows: 600mm, 900mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, and 1500mm.

Are Window Weather Guards easy to fit?

Yes. Installation is simple and quick; almost anyone can do it!

How long do they take to install?

The average install time for each Window WeatherGuard is five to ten minutes.

Do I need any special tools?

No tools are required.

Do they come in different widths?

While there are five different models available, each Window WeatherGuard is exactly 135mm wide, regardless of length.

Can I buy these in stores?

Currently Window WeatherGuards are only available for purchase online.

Can I use these on my unit or apartment windows?

Yes, however due to Australian building regulations they cannot be used on apartments or units above three stories.

How long will it take to deliver my Window Weather Guards?

It depends on where you reside. We are located in Brisbane so the further you are away the longer it will take. In general terms, your order should arrive within 7 days, but please allow between 5 and 10 business days. Delivery times will vary due to your location and if it is a peak delivery period.

Do I need to be home when my order is delivered?

In the event you are not home at time of delivery, orders cannot be delivered to a residential address without an authority to leave goods unattended. You may provide authority as well as a designated location in the "payment details" page of the checkout process. Failure to provide authority will result in additional delivery charges if you are not home to accept delivery. If the goods are to be delivered to a private address and you provide an authority to leave the goods unattended, Window WeatherGuards, Australia Post nor the courier can be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to your item once delivered.. My windows have security insect screens fitted - are there issues to consider when installing?

Security insect screens are usually fitted & locked into the frame so there should be no problem installing WWG’s. As WWG’s generally attach to the external side of the window frame, they should fit easily to windows with standard or security insect screens.

Can I still remove the insect screens with a WWG fitted?

Standard insect screens found on most aluminium windows can be removed inwards rather than outwards so the having WWG fitted won’t affect their removal for cleaning or repair. As most security insect screens are locked in place, clean & repair as per the manufacturers recommendations.

If needed, can I remove and reinstall my WWGs?

While we don’t recommend this, they can be removed by inserting a flat blade between the window frame and WWG. Extra care is required so as not to scratch the window frame or WWG. Use a product such as eucalyptus oil or dewatering fluid to remove all remnants of the adhesive tape and ensure the window frame is clean before reinstalling. Use only quality 3M double sided adhesive tape to reattach the WWG to the window frame.
