ENERGY EFFICIENT - AIR IN, RAIN OUT

Window WeatherGuard installation instructions

Window WeatherGuards have been designed to allow the free flow of fresh air throughout your home, rain, hail or shine. Whether you live in a house, unit or townhouse, there is a Window WeatherGuard solution for everyone. They are available to fit most standard Australian windows and installation is so easy, anyone can do it!  To select the correct sizes, simply measure the overall height of your window frames.   Please note that Window WeatherGuards are only suitable for homes and buildings up to three stories in height.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS FOR QUICK AND EASY INSTALLATION

STEP 1.

To ensure you have chosen the correct size of Window WeatherGuard, hold it against the exterior frame of your window prior to installation.

STEP 2.

Use the included cleaning wipe to prepare the surface of the window frame. It must be clean otherwise it will affect the adhesion of the double sided tape.

It is important at this time that you inspect your window frame to ensure it is uniform in height along the entire area that the Window WeatherGuard is to be installed.

STEP 3.

With the frame clean and the working surface level, peel off the backing tape from all three adhesive layers affixed to the Window WeatherGuard.

Do not touch the adhesive with your fingers.

STEP 4.

Visually align the top or bottom corner of the window frame  with the  matching corner of the Window WeatherGuard.

It is important that the Window WeatherGuard is positioned correctly in order to provide the most efficient protection against the elements.

STEP 5.

Now that you have the Window WeatherGuard in the correct position, press the corner down to retain this position whilst maintaining  an even pressure over the tape.

Slide your finger (with a cloth) along the edge to enable adhesion whilst removing any air bubbles.

STEP 6.

Now that the Window WeatherGuard is in position, keep applying firm pressure for approximately three minutes to ensure the adhesive has had sufficient time to cure to the window frame.
